About Exeter
There are two groups using the name exeter. The first, is an atmospheric space-rock band from Austin, TX USA who formed in 2005. Thier debut album "Grey Noise, White Lies" was released on August 25, 2009. They also featured on the Tribute to Failure Compilation CD, with such artists as Paramore and Stemage. The Texan band's homepage is on myspace: http://www.myspace.com/exetermusic The second Exeter, is an instrumental electronic hobby project from Northern Virginia, USA created in late 2002 by sole member (at the moment) Ian Swift. Utilizing Fruity Loops 9 for sequencing, mixing, and mastering, with a Novation K-Station - a virtual analog synthesizer to create the sounds. He has made experimental instrumental music that falls under techno-industrial, powernoise, IDM, & glitch; each track is one of those styles, or combination of those styles. Focusing very little on mixing and mastering duties, he spends that time on innovating his sound on each song by trying out different ways to sequence sounds and techniques with effects in a self-imposed limited amount of time - only sometimes going up to 3 hours total work time for each song. Modern brap sessions influenced by Nine Inch Nails, Gridlock, yelworC, and Download.
