About Momo
There are multiple artists under the name of "Momo". 1) True-school rapper from Bratislava - Petržalka, Slovakia . He is member of underground hip-hop group called Štrnásť, also know as XIV, or 14. MOMO (桃井ひとみ, Momoi Hitomi) is a former member of I've Sound and is currently with P.O.R, a musical band she co-founded herself before joining I've. 3) The incarnation of artist Toni Castells (http://www.tonicastells.com/), who builds chillout electronica with layers of opera vocals, pop tunes and poetry, to the level of a grand film soundtrack. His albums are available on iTunes. 4) A Spanish instrumental band that performs flamenco style music with fast paced guitar action. 5) A Moroccan-inspired band. Momo are a three piece band consisting of Lahcen Lahbib, Farid Nainia and Tahar El Edrissi, all Moroccans who arrived in London separately in the late 1980s. Momo have built a reputation as one of London's most exciting live acts and their first album The Birth Of Dar (Apartment 22) captures their potent mix of North African and electronic beats. Some good friends played in this project that took three months to be finished. MoMo plays the craviola, a Brazilian 12 strings acoustic guitar, and the casiotone . There are no technical editions on this work, to make the songs sound natural and free. Most of the songs were composed in minor tune, MoMo's favorite harmony. Work influenced by Tim Buckleys Starsailor album and other folk composers, such as Nick Drake and Tim Hardin.
