About NASA
There are, at least, eight artists known as NASA. 1) An acronym of National Aeronautics and Space Administration, which released a five disc set (1992), containing Voyager probe sound recordings, from outer space, know as the "Symphonies of the planets". NASA also produce Audio Podcasts and release audio though the Internet Archive 2) 1) An acronym of North America South America (aka N.A.S.A.), an international collective of musicians spanning a wide spectrum of musical genres, centred around Sam Spiegel (aka Squeak E. Clean) & Zé Gonzales (aka DJ Zegon). They've released two albums, The Spirit Of Apollo (2009) & The Big Bang (2010). 3) A Swedish electronic group (formed early-80s). They performed in the Staffan Hildebrand movie "G - som i gemenskap" 1982. They turned to english lyrics and released several albums until the mid 80s. Later they began new musical projects like Henzel & Thors. In 1987 they were about to sign for Columbia. In the late-90s, they returned to the Swedish scene, with new material. 4) A progressive hip-hop producer / rapper, owner of Uncommon Records (founded 2004, NYC), member of The Presence & known for mixing / engineering, in the late-90s / early-00s. Also produced tracks for Karniege, Vast Aire & K-the-i???. 5) A Florida-based teenage noise improv / noise rock / heavy psych power trio. 6) An alias of Denmark's Mikkel (ex. Gnome Effect, signed to Iboga Records), who - after experimenting with different instruments - focusses on psychedelic trance. He has the same dynamic in his music like the scene itself. By progress he came to his favourite feeling - progressive & deep trance. His music features straight bass-lines & strange psychedelic effects, which attempt to impart a transcendental affect. 7) A group signed to Sire Records in 1989. They released one Cd of middle-eastern flavored electronic "glam" rock (Insha-Allah!) in 1990. The single of the same name appeared on the Sire Records Compilation "Just Say Mao" in 1989. 8) A radio show, policing the audio galaxy since 2005, where two friends meet up every week to play the best bass-heavy music they've discovered, since the last show.
