There are at least 4 artists named Strike: 1. STRIKE (hard rock) was founded in 1985 by Pasi Rantanen and Mika Brushane in Herttoniemi, Finland. The bandmembers were only 15-16 years old, but the attitude and the song´s were much more mature. In 1986 was time to record the first demo, and from that session came the songs Strike, Loser and the ballad Piece's of You. Those three song's were distributed around in Helsinki on tapes to friends and by friends wich resulted to a small group of fans. In 1989 STRIKE recorded the song's Joanna and Angel of my Heart. In 1991 the band broke up. In 2011 STRIKE announced the long awaited comeback! Now the band is back with the same exact line-up that they broke up in. In 2013 they released their album "We're Back". 2. A late 70s/early 80s four-piece powerpop band from Belfast consisting of Mark Nixon (vocals), Noel Rafferty (guitar), Paul Kenny (guitar), Laurence Sprott (bass) and Davy Johnston (drums). Their sole release was 'Radio Songs' b/w "Teenage Rebel", an amazing 45 issued by the "Shock Rock" label in 1980 an edition of only 500 copies. It was later reissued by Sing Sing records, NY. 3. Pop/Punk band from Juiz De Fora, Minas Gerais Brazil. They first album was certified with platinum Disc (100k copies) by the ABPD(Brasil), first album main single "O Jogo Virou" reached the 3 place at the Brasil Hot 100 and the Hit Parade, the 2 other album singles, Paraiso Proibido and Aquela Historia, reached the 35 and 6 position at the Hot 100 respectively and the first place at the Hit parade. 4. A British dance band formed in 1994 consisting of Matt Cantor, Andy Gardner and the vocalist Victoria Newton. They released a number of tracks, but are best known for the single 'U Sure Do'. This was released in 1994 and only reached #31 in the UK charts, but re-entered the chart in April 1995 and reached #4.
