There are three artists using this name: 1. Put the Gorillaz, Outkast and the Beastie Boys together in a cheap motel room with a microphone, and you may come close to the sound of The Freshmen. I know what you might be thinking but I encourage you to first take a dive into the mind of The Freshmen before you categorize them as just another Alternative Hip Hop act. The Freshmen are a symbol. The Freshmen represent the proverbial underdog. The new guy. Even though they have been paying dues for years, in the grand scheme of things they are still Freshmen.
