About Turn Pale
Turn Pale is a post-punk group from Bloomington, Indiana who formed circa 2000. The current line-up is Michael Anderson (vocals), Nick Quagliara (guitar), Marty Sprowles (drums) and Chris Lombardi, who replaced original bassist Pete Schreiner in April of 2003 just before the release of their debut album. The group's roots and influences include The Birthday Party, The Virgin Prunes, Alien Sex Fiend, Joy Division and Public Image Ltd. while contemporary comparisons can be drawn to The Liars, Love Life and The Vogue. To date, the group has released two albums. The debut Kill The Lights was released in June of 2003 on What Else? Records. Sophomore effort Mock Trial/Hung Jury was released in February 2007 as only a limited edition vinyl LP (500 copies were pressed) as then label Plan-It-X refused to release the album on CD. The band has released a couple of 7" singles and a third album is in the works as well.
