Would you rather live in the past or future?

I want to live in the time of Star Wars, just kidding, but to a point it'd be pretty sweet. Honestly I'm fascinated by the Middle Ages-Renaissance (specifically Western Europe and Italy). I would have loved to live during the Renaissance in Italy, but then you have to take into account the lack of indoor pluming, and that's just a huge turn-off. Or going back in the super ancient times of 300 B.C.E in Greece during the time of Alexander the Great. I'm a history nerd if anyone hasn't caught that already... well anyways that was a long tangent, sorry 'bout that.

The past because that's somewhat knowable whereas the future could be any imagined horrific set of circumstances. I'd rather observe the future though.

Well, certainly not in the past. Shorter lives, horrible diseases, more wars etc.. future sounds more interesting but who knows what that entails. It might be the best thing to be alive now.
