Just to comment on the future and tasebuds txt editor at the same time I think the future will be a lot less apostrophe sensitive, in fact I can see the U.N. outlawing the apostrophe by 2050, with rogue regimes bringing in the death penalty for "apostrophe catastrophe" at the same time

I am just reading Alastair Reynold's Galactic North (trying to re-read Revelation Space stuff in chron order) and it seems a lot "lighter" that I remember! Aim to start some Thomas Pynchon after this as the new one Bleeding Edge sounds quite readable and I'm working towards Gravity's Rainbow which sounds very involved (but apparently very good)

Skimmed it. Intriguing. A lot of exotic concepts put together, from neurophysiologically-grounded archetypal narrative to 'ontological' phase cancellation in wave mechanics--that ought to take weeks for me to entirely digest for such a short story. But TBH, I was expecting more technological explorations (with a little bit more plot) than astrophysical thought experiments, you know, in the context of cyberpunkiness. :)
