It was The Wedding Singer. Sorry for any confusion but I was thinking of the version used on the CD soundtrack which is not Sandler's version but Dead Or Alive's.

Okay, I only know of two cult sports classics that have been remade, but I've only seen the originals and not the remakes: Death Race 2000 (what a hoot and half of a movie) and Rollerball (loved James Caan . . . it *was* James Caan, wasn't it?). Anyhow, I just have to pick a direction and go with it here: Deathrace [she hazards]? : )

I'm stumped, Bellers94 - I had a guess, based on feel, that I then went to Amazon and pulled up the soundtrack to see if I was right - I was not (it wasn't exactly cheating, but it does show that my vanity wouldn't allow me to toss out my totally blind guess and risk looking like a nincompoop - gotta work on that one). I'm being an awfully good girl and am not Googling . . . waiting for that knowing person to enlighten me (or, if all else fails, for you to post a hint!). - J
