I've won a pair of tickets to see Dinosaur Jr. tonight at Irving Plaza. My real life friends have shitty music taste so I have an extra ticket. They're touring in support of their new album, Give a Glimpse of What Yer Not.

It’s frustrating, I know … But it may be not a music-related issue but a social one; people are generally reluctant of meeting strangers. That’s why meetup might work better, because it was created especially for that. It’s designed to connect based on shared interests more than on whether you know the people or not. For reselling tickets (I know this is not your aim, but just in case) I use Ticketswap.
I'll have to try that next time I have an extra free ticket to a show (happens quite a lot, honestly).
But seriously, I can't believe how impossible it was to find takers to Metric yesterday and Dinosaur Jr today despite advertising both concerts in multiple places, including the facebook event pages and craigslist.
